Hey - I found you from, um, someone else's blog, but just wanted to say hi. Glad everything worked out okay, it's crazy, but I'm usually the opposite when it comes to child sicknesses, which is odd because I'm usually such a pessimist, or in my terms, a realist!

Kate's last blog post..Don't you come at me with that thing...and other musings of the day

Kids have a way of scaring us. Glad she's ok..She is so cute! I remember many nights being up with a sick child praying over them.
BTW, thanks for the compliment about the picture of my daughter and me.

I got teary eyed reading your post. I'm glad everything ended up ok. I do the same thing...immediately call my mom and start praying, trying not to panic. But I wouldn't change being a mom for anything! :)

Glad to hear that she was ok Jen. I think as moms it's only normal and natural for us to be worry warts. When Caleb was first born and we came home he was about 2 weeks old, I was by myself and he had super high fever & projectile vomiting. I was freaking out & ended up calling 9-1-1. I told my doctor at the ER room that I felt like a complete idiot for doing that but I'll never forget what he said to me "it's better to be safe than sorry!"

I know how scary it is. I remember when Nicky was really sick and the PED said not to take him in until his fever was 106!!! I could hardly believe they said that to me. I'm glad she is on the mend.
