Attack of the Lady Bugs

I got home yesterday from picking up Madisyn from preschool. I went to open the front door and oh my. I bet there was 300 to 400 ladybugs on the front of the house and door.
I would open the door and they would try to come in. Some did get in on the glass door, so I was trying to push them back outside. I would get one out and 3 more come in.
Where are these coming from? Is it because of the cold weather? Madisyn was none too thrilled with them in the house. She kept saying oh my mom what are we going to do… then one would land on her and she screamed as loud as she could LOL.

We’ve been in our house for almost 3 years now and we have the same problem EVERY year. There really is nothing you can do about it except keep shooing them out the door that I know of.
I do know that lady bugs, no matter how harmless they are to us, they can do major damage to houses and anything else they can all squeeze into like electical boxes, etc.
Here’s to hoping they go away for you soon.

Bet they are dead now with all the snow. LOL I’m so morbid.
