Happy Birthday to My Best Bud

October 26th is a special day to me for two reasons… it's my dad's birthday as well as my best bud's birthday!

My best bud first came into my life in early 2003 then we lost touch and found each other again in early 2005. I love every minute of having her as a part of my life. And… even though we have never "met" in person, we still hold a very strong friendship that nobody will take away from us. One day we will MEET!

I want to wish her a VERY HAPPY BIRTHDAY and wish I could be there in person to give her birthday *hugs*, but just please know I'm thinking about you and hope you are treated liked a princess tomorrow hehe by your hubbs.

I have wrote a very special poem to her and made it into a keepsake. Please click this link to see it and just find out who my best bud is incase you have been living off planet Earth and didn't know hehe ;)

Madisyn Student of the Week

I went into school to pick up Madisyn Friday evening and I couldn't find her. I freaked and yelled at the teachers "Where is Madisyn"… they said right here right here she hadn't came out of class yet. They said she has something to tell you. I looked at her and she gave me this bashful look and I said what's wrong Madisyn. I was hugging her. Her teachers were like go ahead Madisyn tell mommy. I lifted up her hands to see if she got a stamp, I said was you not a good girl today? This would be the first time ever not getting a stamp. Her teachers jumped in and said Madisyn not good? That will never happen. They said she is always good.

I was like ok the suspense is killing me, and Madisyn finally said mommy mommy I got student of the week. PHEW… nothing bad and it was GREAT NEWS. I was so proud of my big girl. I lifted her up and gave her the biggest hug and told her we would go home and go swimming and then out for some pizza to celebrate :) .

She was so proud of her award and would not let go of it:

Here teacher said for being "Student of the Week" we get to make a poster board of pictures of Madisyn so it could hang up in class all week. Madisyn and I love doing craft projects together, so I went and got our supplies out of the closet and this is what we came up with. I got tears in my eyes just doing it with her, because where has my first born baby girl went to? She has grown up soooo much and is such a big girl now! Here is a picture of our little project:

With all of this talk of her being so good at preschool, I said Madisyn why do you get in fights with sissy at home and throw stubborn fits with mommy and daddy. She said mom, my brain messes up when I come home. LOL. She so cracks me up with what she comes up with. That's my Madisyn! Here are a couple picts I took of her outside today:

Of course I couldn't leave little sissy out of the picture hehe. I do have to share a quick story. She will be three in two weeks and has been talking sentences since she was 18 months old, but I never knew the backtalking would start soooo soon. Madisyn came and told me Lyndsee was coloring on their TV in their bedroom. I said Lyndsee why are you coloring the TV for? She said because I want to mommy! OMG… I think I was shocked, and laughing all at the same time. An almost 3 year old saying that? Here are picts of sassy pants hehe.

America Being Strong For Others

I found this video on another blog tonight and it gave me chills and warmed my heart so much. You just don't know how I am so glad to see America embracing this gentleman with disabilites. Instead of making fun of him, they joined in with him to finish singing.

You see it was Disability Awareness Day at Fenway park. This gentleman that was singing is autistic and he got tickled in the middle of the song hehe, well the crowd just joined right in with him and helped him finish the song. Watch the video and see how this was such a fantastic way to warm my heart to see Americans do this.

In the Eyes of My Girl

To My Madisyn:

Madisyn you are everything I had hoped for and more. When I held you in my arms for the first time, I just cried but please know they were tears of happiness. I always wanted a baby girl and I couldn't believe my eyes of how beautiful you were in my arms. When you would look back at me my heart would just flutter, I was proud to be picked by God to be your mommy.

Over the years you have grown up so much, that I just don't understand where my baby girl has gone. I lay in bed at night rethinking the past times of your growing up and it just hurts me so bad to see some of those memories fading. I am so glad to have pictures and videos of you, but I still want that fresh memory in my head. Madisyn I LOVE YOU SO MUCH, and never ever forget that. I will never leave you and will always be right there on your journey with you.

I cannot believe how grown up you talk these days, its like you grew up over night and turned into such a big girl. We really do have adult conversations on a daily basis when you ask your wondering mind questions, such as mommy why does porcupines have spikes? You amaze me with the attention and detail you give to drawings and are always saying what a happy family we are. You know what though, we are happy because you are such a great big sister and daughter. Those big brown eyes will light up a room and just show the amazement that comes out of your heart.

If you see tears in my eyes, you are right there giving me a hug and making sure I will smile before you leave to go play. If little sissy gets hurt, you are first one there with a bandaid and your doctor kit to make sure she is taken care of right away. Your heart is so big nobody could even attempt to measure it.

I feel like you have a special soul inside of you because you are always thinking of others and want to make sure they are good before you. At dinner time you make sure daddy and sissy have their drinks before you will even sit down. Just another example of how you put others first. I LOVE YOU BABY GIRL.

I wish I could pause time and keep you just where you are, but that would be very selfish of me as I know you are just beginning and you will knock the socks off of this world in years to come. God has a special task for you and you are just being prepped for it now. I cannot wait to see how your life turns out as I know I will be one proud mommy.

Remember mommy is always here for you and I pray we will always be close and share that special mommy and daughter bond.

I LOVE YOU BABY GIRL.

Madisyn is a Star Student

I just have to brag about my big 4 year old. That's alright once in a while heh? My little girl never ceases to amaze me and she was just so proud of herself today!

I went to pick her up at pre-k today and was met with the biggest smile ever. First off she got another stamp… she has not missed one day yet of getting a stamp. YOU GO MADISYN! Mommy is definitely very proud of you (now hmmm lets do that at home too ok? hehe ;) )

But the stamp, was just a tiny bit of the equation… she ripped open her backpack and hurriedly gave me a piece of paper. It had her name where she wrote and where she practiced the letter A. See…

She has been writing her name for a while and even though I was proud of her for doing that as well, do you see that top sticker to the right. Yeppers you read right.. it says Star Student! Madisyn was so happy and excited about this and of course mommy grabbed her right up and gave her bunches of kisses and wouldn't quit hugging her. I had already got her a surprise out in the car… so I said ok lets hurry and mommy has a special treat for you outside. She takes after her mommy here ;) … She loves her some starbucks and our starbucks here has the mini cups so I got Madisyn one of the Blueberry Frappuccino. She was jumping up and down when she saw it. YAY. She made mommy's day and I made her day.. definitely a win-win situation :) .

She had me take a picture of her award and she said mommy put that on your website, so I couldn't let my big girl down!!

I also wanted to do a quick picture. When Madisyn comes out of her preschool everyday, both girls when they see each other run and do this:

Now that's priceless right there ;) Thanks for letting me brag on my Madisyn.

Jen Houck Rocks and Is Nice

Well aren't you just self-centered Jen? HA! Just joking. I have been given two awards over the last couple weeks and it has really touched me ALOT.  You know going through this journey of motherhood is so awesome but it makes it even better if you have fellow mommies to take that journey with you.

My bestest bud Nell Taliercio over at CasualFridayEveryday.com gave me the Rocking Blogger Award.

Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket

We first met back in 2003 and then lost touch and crossed paths back in early 2005 again and have became such great best buds. We have been there for each other and just last night when I was having a bad night, Nell was there once again to give me positive words. I appreciate her and adore our friendship greatly! So thank you very much for honoring me Nell with this award.

I would like to give this award to the following two women:

Jenn @ Natural News because she just plain rocks with her expertise on baby carriers and I have got to really know her over past couple weeks and really enjoying her blog!

Stef @ Mommy Musings because she is a new mommy blogger and she has some funny posts. Go check out her site! I can't wait to meet up with you Stef.

Now another mommy blogger that I have got to know really good over past month is Val over at Purple Valley. This wonderful mommy does beautiful work with photography. I can't wait till she comes to Disney so she can do a photoshoot of my girlies :) . She has awarded me the Nice Award:

My New Carrier

I'm so excited… I just had to come share and brag on Jenn over at All Natural Mommies as well. See she had seen one of my blog designs and had emailed me and I suggested why not we just barter? She agreed YAY! So first off go look at her new blog design and then look below of what we barterd with.

You see I have always wore Lyndsee in pouch slings, but with her getting so tall, she was getting really cramped and would not let me sling her anymore :( . I ran across these new carriers of Jenn's and I believe this is just what we have been looking for. Lyndsee LOVES LOVES LOVES to ride on my back so I'm hoping this will be a big plus for her. Now, I have some practice to do on getting this perfected, but as you can see on the picture below she is loving it. I had the fabric behind her leg and it should have been in front of it. We'll keep working on it :) .

I am just so happy about this, now my arms will not ache so much in stores, as my little missy does not like to be out of my arms much ;) .

Thank you so much Jenn!! I'm in love! If you are in the market for a new carrier, hop on over there now and Jenn will help you find just the right product for you and your child.

Mommy got her own room

YES! You read the title right. Mommy has her own room… Mommy has her own room… I'm so excited. See the girls usually take up space all throughout the house with their toys and such and its not really a big deal but as I'm getting wiser in my older years HA!.. I am wanting more organization throughout the house.

Ever since I have worked at home, I have always shared space with the girls and never really had my own space so to speak. You do know the kids rule our world right Wink. Anywho today hubbs and I decided to do some organizing so I could have my own office space to where I can go in there and get away from everything and concentrate. Let me show you the final outcome.

I am so stoked to get my own space. Hubbs let me celebrate this evening by having daddy and daughter time. He took the girls to the pool, then came home gave their baths to them and rocked Lyndsee to sleep and read Madisyn a story. It felt so good to have "my own space" for just a bit. I know I am going to love working at home so much better now!!!

What do you think of my new space?
