Now I will start off saying, before today I had no idea who Bill Maher was. I never even heard of him. Well, since one of my incisions (gall bladder surgery) has decided to give more trouble, I was catching up on some old shows from “The View” while resting in the recliner.

Hmmmmpf…. I should have just skipped this one unfortunately. They had Bill Maher on as their guest. The ladies were talking to him about the election and somehow got on religion. Well obviously he does not believe in religion. Again, I did not know this. He was making fun of how we all could believe the story about Noah’s Ark, and then had the nerve to say anyone that believes in religion is just “dumb and young”.

Excuse me??? Now, for one I do not put religion down anyone’s throat. I just don’t think that is the way to do it. You need to be positive and careful of what you say to others while trying to witness to them. But, for someone to tell me I am dumb and young because I believe in the word of God. Ummm NOPE. I will not stand for that at all. Evidently, “The View” was left with their mouths open as well when he was going on and on and they hurried and went to commercial. I just don’t understand how he can sit there and have a clear conscious of putting people down like that.

I actually see myself as a great educated mother, that cares and understands a lot about religion. My faith in God has got me where I am at today. The last two years has been one more roller coaster for our family, and without God I firmly believe we would be off a cliff right now literally. So you can imagine how this really hurt my heart, my feelings, and just left me sitting there disgusted that I was put down by this human being. Talk about first impression… the first time I ever see the guy on TV and this is the way he acts???

I truly think he needs to come back onto the show and give a public apology for what he has said and how he portrayed himself. Will it ever happen? I will not hold my breath!!

After spending 7 days thinking to myself ALOT and worrying if I would see the end of the week or not with this FLU. I tell you, I was one more scared woman with my little girl and then seeing the rest of us of how bad we were. It hit us hard. I do want to thank a minute and thank my commenter on this post. Out of all the 6 other medicines we tried, her suggestion in that last comment made our turning point to get over this awful FLU. I will definitely remember this for a long time and suggest it to others. Thank YOU KAT from the bottom of my heart.

Like I said, I did a lot of thinking of our situation right now and with my husband being in Florida and myself here with my 3 girls.

We are on the move again to find a nice warm, respectful, and caring household for us until we can be together all as a family again. You may ask, why I am writing this for and telling the whole world? Well, I just want you to know if your family is close and your friends are there for you then please respect that and make sure you tell them THANK YOU! Now my thoughts…

If your mom and/or dad gets in the floor to play with your kids their grandkids, then take a moment and say THANK YOU!

If your mom and/or dad is there to help you while your whole family is sick and does it with a caring heart, then take a moment and say THANK YOU!

If your mom and/or dad is there cheering on your kids their grandkids while they are having a good time playing with their toys, then take a moment and say THANK YOU!

If your mom and/or dad is there to take your kids their grandkids out for an outing or even a day to give you a break, then take a moment and say THANK YOU!

If your mom and/or dad is there to talk to you and give you advice or just a casual talk and say they love you, then take a moment and say THANK YOU!

These are the things I have thought about A LOT, that I know I will be there for my girls in their every waking hour. In my opinion, I just think that is what family is all about and SHOULD BE ABOUT. It's family HELLO, what happened to the basics.

Even though, I cry and wonder what happened to my family basics, there is one thing I can make sure of. Is my family that I have created with my husband and our 3 daughters to make sure we do keep the family basics in line and show our daughters that we will be there always and forever for them and SHOW them on a daily basis of what family's SHOULD BE.

(((HUG))) you babies tight today. Much LOVE!!!

This link was posted on a baby board I frequent and I read it and noticed the mommy is breastfeeding.

Ok… I looked at the pictures and was first brought to the time Lyndsee at this age. She was definitely off the charts with her weight and her pediatrician said I was nursing her too much. WHATEVER!! I did not listen to him needless to say. Here is a picture of her at 8 months old:

and here she is at 3 years old today weighing only 3 more pounds than she did at 8 months old

Now did she grow up to be obese? UMMM NOPE! Breast milk is very healthy to be feeding your baby and yes my milk was probably high in calories than most breast milk but she is doing just fine and I am sooo happy I did not listen to my pediatrician's advice .

It is just irritating to see this news article. Maybe he does have a medical need but I do not think the mom is feeding too much and out of those 20 times its probably more comfort nursing than anything. I know Lyndsee loved to comfort nurse.

What is your take on the article?

Here is a picture of what I spent a good portion of the day doing:

I went through all of the girls toys and threw out everything that was Made in China. I am so darn tired of seeing the recalls and worrying if the toy my child is going to play with next will harm them. I trusted these companies to make sure the toys they sold to me the consumer were safe for my children. Obviously they DID NOT hold up their end of the bargain did they?

As you can see in Amy's post from yesterday Mattel has came out with their recall now. This just on the heels of Fisher Price's recall and Thomas the train's recall. Now what does all these recalls leave for a parent to think? Did I over react by throwing all my daughters' toys away that said Made in China? Maybe I did, but at this point I really don't care if I over reacted. I have to do what is best for my girls and not put extra added stress to my worry wart mind that I have anyways!

I know this will be hard when my girls see a toy they want in the aisles of Target or any other toy store, but I for one and already fore warned "The Man" that there would be no more toys from Made In China. The toy vendors have been given way too many chances to make this right and yet the news keeps coming out with the recalls. So that leads me to do the only thing I believe is acceptable for my girls. That is to make sure I know where the toys are coming from. I will be sticking with Made in USA. Plus this means I can help out a little by at least trying to keep jobs in America! If more parents buy just toys Made in USA this could put a higher demand for USA toy employers .

Amy has come up with a good list of "Green" or "Made in USA" toys. I am going to be shopping these links in the next few days to try and replenish my girls with some REAL toys hehe

Willow Tree Toys

Green Toys Inc.

Still Made in the USA

Here's to a much safer toy environment for our precious children!!
