He surprised the girls with shirts from his business trip to Iowa. When he showed me the shirts, I immediately jumped up and hugged him.

It was a Mutt’s Organic shirt.

This shirt is so incredibly soft too, so I am going to see if I can find some more for the girls around here in NC or on the web.

Not too mention they also are sooooo cute. Needless to say the girls were highly impressed with their daddy’s surprise.

I know we have been together over 6 years, but I got those butterflies in my tummy again just seeing what he is doing for our girls and trying to help me with this organic living. It helps to have support here in the house and so happy he wants the best for our girls as well.

You know its the little things that can make you fall in love all over again with your hubbs :). Have I mentioned I’m oh so happy to have him home?

First off…Madisyn woke up and wanted to go have her picture made. She has been asking me forever and I have felt guilty because we have not had professional picts of her done since she was 18 months old :(. I do have a million picts that I have taken though myself.. because I do love being behind the lens and capturing all the moments of my girls’ lives. So we headed out to get professional pictures done and they turned out sooooo cute. We get them back in two weeks, so I can’t wait to share them then.

After we had a rocking photo session, we surprised the girls with a picnic lunch at the park. We gathered their eyes back up and put them back in their sockets and proceeded to have a wonderful summer lunch. Of course the food was scoffed down like we hadn’t ate in 10 years, just so we can all have fun on the park.

The next hour, I got lost into my little girl’s eyes and forgot about the world around me. I pulled out my camera and just wanted to focus so hard on them and the pictures I found when I got home on my camera are PRICELESS. Honestly they are so good and I don’t think I have ever took such great photos. I am really figuring out my camera finally after 3 years ;).

It was fun just tuning out everything around us and getting on their levels to experience the delights and sparkles that were in the eyes and voice. It’s fun being a kid again

It just doesn’t feel right, that she is 5.5 years old. It seems just like yesterday, that this was us.

You know when I was pregnant with Madisyn, every morning I would drive into work, I would talk to her and sing to her. I wanted her to know that mommy wanted to be the best mommy ever to her and protect her in this crazy world that can be oh so cruel sometimes.

I have alway wanted to instill great quality traits in my little girls. When she brought me a  cup of lemonade last night and said here mommy, I made this all by myself for you since you are not feeling well. She had went into the kitchen and made a whole gallon of lemonade all by herself. I took a sip not sure what to expect, and it was the most delicious lemonade I had ever drank. I praised her and gave her big hugs and she said “Mommy, I am ready to start my own lemonade stand.”

I got tears in my eyes, this just confirmed that I an indeed doing something right in this journey of motherhood. Motherhood changed me so much and I love who I am today. Thank you Lord for choosing me to be a mother to two wonderful children. Now this is what life is all about!

You know what allergies… yes you may have tried to take over our house, but I be danged if you are going to make yourself at home here. So here is your dang booty kicking telling you to get out of our house.

Off… to hopefully sleep this off. Send some prayers we get better and it doesn’t effect Lyndsee’s asthma which she has done soooooo good since moving to NC.

We still co-sleep of course and I was awaken to the little cries at 6:30am of “Mama, Mama, wake up”. I immediately woke up and said what is wrong baby girl. I knew she couldn’t be ready to get up for the day considering we didn’t get in the bed till almost 2am.

One look at her and my heart skipped a beat. I knew something wasn’t right. Her eyes were real glazed over like, she was extremely hot, and just looked like she had no energy whatsoever. My mind goes a million ways. Am I being an over reactive mother, or is there something really wrong. I kept trying to talk to her and all she wanted to do was lay in my chest. I start crying. Here we are a little over a week of me doing the single parenting since hubbs is out of town doing Rebuilding in Iowa. My emotions are all over the place anyways, so I get ahold of myself and call my mom.

I ask her to please come over and look at Lyndsee. I tell her what was wrong and she said I’ll be right over. In the mean time, Lyndsee is still being real fatigued. I immediately start praying over her, I put my hands on her tummy and said “Lord please whatever is wrong to take it away and let her feel better. Do not take my youngest baby away from me. Please lead me in the right direction of what I need to do” It was a matter of seconds that Lyndsee stands up and starts vomiting this bright yellow stuff that looks like Bile. As soon as she did that, she started bouncing back to herself. My mom and dad walked in right after that too and made her smile really big.

I will go ahead and say I am a HUGE worry wart and I try to be rational about it. That is why I called my mom over. But, I can’t help to let my mind wonder. As soon as I delivered both of my girls, my heart immediately wrapped around their little bodies. They are my world and I live life for them. I thank God so much for letting me be a mom to two wonderful little girls. Yes there may be cries on some days, yes there may be times I have to go scream in the shower, yes there may be times I want to run down the street, but it all comes down to it….. I could not live life without my girls. The love I have for them is so deep that it just keeps going farther and farther and farther in their hearts. I love you girls!!

The girls are so super fascinated every time we go outside. They always have to go over and talk to the cows and see how their day is going.

While Madisyn was over at the cows today, she comes back just a running and yelling. “Mom, Mom, Mom, the cows are peeing. You have got to see this.” I said yes honey cows do pee too.

She immediately replied back and said, “you meat cows have butts too?”

Kids say the darndest things. Yes I couldn’t stop laughing

I do want to say, I have not always been the best house cleaner, but as I am getting older and wiser I guess you would say… I am getting more picky about things not being organized.

For instance, I cannot absolutely stand any dishes to be left in the sink. I can thank my mother and father for that one. They would always make us wash any dish we would dirty up immediately, so now I go crazy if there is a dish left in the sink.

We have a playroom now for the girls, and I like for all toys to be in the playroom. At the end of the night, I go to cleaning so I can wake up to a nice clean living room.

Anywho… the bathroom has always been something I always dread. I try my best in there and I like for it all to be organized as well, but I have found something that I am so happy to tell you about. It is the Action Scrubber by the Scrubbing Bubbles.

When you buy the starter kit, it comes with 1 flexible handle, 1 reusable storage tub and 4 disposable cleaning pads.

I personally hate seeing old sponges laying around, so when I figured out it comes with cleaning pads, I thought ok I can deal with this. I was really impressed by how clean it gets your bath tub and shower. I even used it in our bathroom sink.

What puts a big plus on is, you no longer have to clean with gritty chemicals, which allows rinsing away easily.
