I Want To Dye My Hair Too Mommy

Today on the spur of the moment run, my step-daughter and I decided to go back in time to our own roots.
Yes I am only in my late 20's and I am already going grey. Can you believe this? It was beginning to look really bad in the front and I was tired of trying to tame all the grey hairs… sooo we head to Target and get us some dye to do our hair.
My step-daugher went back to her natural black color like my youngest daughter and I went and did my natural dark brown color all over. All in all it looks really good on both of us.
BUT….. Madisyn wants to do her hair. I had to sit down and have a little talk with her and she still just said but mommy I just want to be like you and KK. She can really tug on the ohhh heart strings.
For now, I believe I will only let my five year old and three year old do this type of dyeing:

My older daughter is the same way. She doesn’t understand why I have to dye my hair. She wants us to be matching.

I didn’t realize your step daughter was with y’all! I can’t believe she has black hair…she looks very natural with the color she had before.

By the way, I’ve found a couple silver stragglers here and there, but only noticable to me. I credit those to my Mother and Brother
They’ve made me a bit older than my years.

I started going gray in my 20’s too and finally in my late 30’s have given up on the dyeing of my hair since the roots just show through (vividly against my dark hair) within a week or two anyway. Sigh.

I think that type of dyeing is a good idea
Btw, I have gizillions of greys, too, and I know I’m a little older than you, but I never thought I’d have them this early. I especially started noticing them after Maia. ((sigh . . .))

Your hair looks great in your WW post, had you all ready dyed it? I sort of like my gray because it is very evenly dispursed in my hair. I have always had such black hair that the gray is like highlights to me!!

I have always said that I wouldn’t let my hair grey, but then again, I color it already so I guess I wouldn’t know either way…lol!
