post Category: Big Sis, Little Sis, Mom's Babbling — Jen @ 7:04 pm — post

As my girls were talking tonight, it made me reflect back on the week and the things they have said this week. I have always heard kids say the darndest things ;) but I never truly knew what that mean until I had children of my own.

My girls are always coming up with the craziest stuff… so go back and reflect with me this week at some of the things they have said. Some are funny, some are ouch, and some are downright embarrassing!

Madisyn: Mommy when I grow up I am going to have a big bottom like you!

Lyndsee: Mommy I want some check-up (meaning ketch-up)

Madisyn: Yay-Yay (talking to my mom) when mommy goes to the bathroom and bleeds I need to get her a bandaid (OMG my face turned all shades of red)

Madisyn: (I was asking her why she is so good at preschool and then wanted to come home and be stubborn to mommy) She said but mommy my brain is just mixed up!

Lyndsee: Mommy the outside bit me. Look at my boo boo. (She skinned her knee on the sidewalk)

Madisyn: (With her barbie laptop) Mommy you and daddy need to quit talking I have to get this work done before it gets to late. (Wonder where she gets that from ;))

I know there are more I'm just drawing a blank. I just know if I'm having a bad day the girls can say one funny thing and it just makes my day all better!

Too cute!

The other day Julien (6) went to get a glass out of the dishwasher, it was in drying mode, and when he took the hot glass out, he said: “Ooooh! It’s spicy!”

Get it- spicy? As in hot? So funny. ;)

Those are great! You should submit them to Readers Digest or a parenting magazine!

Oh my goodness Carrie… that is a good one. Definitely right that one down about spicy. Your daughter too sounds so much like Madisyn. I didn’t realize they were the same age.

Thanks everyone for sharing in my children’s funny lines hehe.

Thanks for sharing these absolutely precious bits from your little girls! Kids always know just what to say to get us laughing - and/or throw us a major curveball! These are so funny!

Love the bottom one - too cute! The other night, after finishing his ice cream, my 5yr. old boy told me “Mommy, my tounge is telling me it needs to taste more of the chocolate chip ice cream.”
