And the total weight loss is…..

The last six months have been an amazing transformation. I have not felt so great about myself in a really LONG time. I have been on a weight loss journey with Shaklee. I hope you have been following along with my videos and blog posts as the transformation has rolled out each month in the updates.

Shaklee has really helped me make a lifestyle change and helped change my whole mentality towards food. Listen, I just came off of an 8-day cruise where the most amazing food was available to me for free. The food could have easily ended back up on my hips, but now I have the willpower to say no and eat small portions if I do want to treat myself.

Grab a cup of coffee, hot tea or hot cocoa and listen in on my final 6-month update. See if you see a difference?

Amazing right? I think you can see the new self-confidence in my picture. The old saying goes… Feel like a million bucks. It really feels true right now. On our cruise last week, I was not ashamed of wearing shorts.

The pictures and video portray my story and it is a story that I am so proud to share with you. I can honestly say, I will stand behind this product and recommend it to everyone that wants to make a lifestyle change. It has changed my life and it can change your life too.

The best Christmas present I could receive… a HEALTHY body!

Food can be an addiction. Through this whole journey, my mind has changed so much on how I view food. It was no problem for me to eat the girls leftovers. Now, I think before I bite into a piece of food. Is the food worth it? For me, it is not worth the sluggish feeling, the depression and the overall look. Healthy food can be so delicious. You just need to take the time to meal plan, cook healthy dinners, exercise and drink your daily water intake.

Shaklee provides delicious meal bars. My favorite will always be the peanut butter chocolate bars. The snack bars gives you that extra boost in the afternoons. My favorite is the peanut butter snack bar. The shakes can be changed in so many ways. Add the different fruits, peanut butter, pumpkin… the varieties are endless. It helps to make a lifestyle change when the food tastes delicious right?

Thank you so MUCH Shaklee!!

20 pounds gone on my Cinchspiration Journey!

We are at the end of month five of my Shaklee Cinchspiration Journey. Before I go any further, take a couple minutes and check out my video update.

I am just a little bit excited right? YES!

That is a SMALL Lands’ End dress. Here is proof.

I received this dress from BlogHer back at the beginning of August from the Lands’ End event. When the dress came in the mail, I was so eager to try on the dress since I did not take the time to try on the dress at the event. Much to my dismay, the dress was not fitting me. Ugly fat rolls were showing and I was so disappointed. Here almost four months later, I fit in the dress perfectly. My self-esteem just increased. I look at the picture and just feel like a million bucks. Finally, I love my body and seeing myself in pictures.

The Cinch Inch Loss Plan works and I am proof. It really is a inch-loss plan. 20 pounds, I just have to say… I will not see you again. Thanks, Jen!

Cinchspiration Weight Loss Journey Update – Month Four

Can you believe it has been four months since I started the Cinchspiration Weight Loss Journey?

I am feeling so wonderful and have such a better self-esteem. It is amazing what weight can do to your attitude and overall feeling about life. You can really see the difference in my pictures. I took my update picture yesterday.

I am officially down 18.5 pounds. I am SO excited. The cinch plan really works. Several people have asked how I do the plan. Here is what a day usually looks like for me.

Breakfast:
Cinch Shake or Meal Bar
Fresh Fruit

Lunch:
Cinch Shake or Meal Bar
Fresh Fruit
Salad

Snack:
Cinch Snack Bar
Fresh Fruit or Vegetables

Dinner:
Regular dinner with usually consisting of a meat and two vegetables, pasta dish or crock pot meal.

Snack:
Fresh Fruit, Popcorn, Yogurt etc. – Low calories

Every once in a while I will sneak in a little chocolate bar but it is all about portion control and knowing my limits. My whole attitude toward food has changed and I stop myself before I put something in my mouth. Also, I am on week three of being gluten free. Over the past couple of years, my body has had to rely on stomach medicines and I was just tired of it. So, I really have to watch my foods closely. More coming on this in another post.

The cinch weight loss plan really promotes itself as the inch loss plan. This is so true as you can see in my pictures above.

Weight Loss Journey Update #4 – {Shaklee Giveaway}

We are at the end of two months. The days and weeks are flying by, but now the months are just whizzing by. I could not be more proud of my weight loss journey. Check out this smile.

The smile tells all right? I feel like my whole life has changed in the last two months. My whole eating mentality has definitely changed for the better. Someone can offer me a high calorie dessert, what do I do? Just say no thanks. If that would have been two months ago, I would have ate the dessert. It was in my mentality that I would exercise in order the burn the dessert off later, but the later was never accomplished.

As you saw with my last update, it really is an easy journey with the Shaklee Cinchspiration plan. It fits perfect into your busy life and I am proof you get results. As of last Friday, I am down 14 pounds. That is seven pounds a month. The weight is obviously not falling off of me rapidly, but I feel this is a great and steady loss.

My tape measure is missing. I hope it shows up in the next few days as I am very curious how many inches I am down on the Shaklee Cinchspiration plan. It is called the inch loss plan for a reason.

What has the last two months accomplished for ME?

1. More confidence

2. Better self-esteem

3. Can exercise better

4. I feel better <----- This is huge and worth it all!

Earlier this month, I was able to hang out with Sommer Poquette. She is the social media manger with Shaklee and actually has went on her own weight loss journey. It was so inspiring to see how far she has come and she her beautiful smile shine.

Jen Houck Spink, Sommer Poquette, Malise Terrell

Since Fall is around the corner, I would love to do a pumpkin spice shake with the vanilla shake. Look for a post coming soon. Right now, I am still in love with the chocolate and peanut butter shake, blueberry and banana shake and the caffe latte shake.

Would you like to try the Cinchspiration plan? You are in luck!

Shaklee and I would like to offer you the opportunity to win a Cinch starter kit – a two week supply and retail value of $228.00.

Weight Loss Journey Update #3 – {Video}

Life is cruising in the fast lane. I cannot believe that it has already been a month since I started the Shaklee #Cinchspiration Journey.

Update #2

I am receiving a lot of questions about the Shaklee Healthy Journey. What is exactly involved? What do you eat during the day? I thought I would do a video and share what a day in the life is like….

Pretty rocking right?

I am down 10.1 pounds. Drinking 96 ounces of water each day, staying within the 1500 to 1600 calories and doing 2 to 3 mile walks 4 to 5 times a week are the key contributing factors to the Shaklee shakes and meal bars. I do want to make that clear, that I am not just doing the shakes and meal bars.

Weight Loss Journey Update #2

Fly away… Fly away oh fat… Fly away.

This is a very exciting update. As you know, I am on a #cinchspiration weight loss journey. I am doing bi-monthly updates so you can see my healthy progress.

Weight Loss Journey Post #1

The cinch shakes and the meal bears are delicious. Going into this journey, I wasn’t quite sure about the taste and quality of the food. The shakes are actually very tasty. The chocolate shake mix coupled with 1 tablespoon of peanut butter and 1 cup of almond milk = Reese’s Shake. Seriously, a diet shake that tastes like a dessert? That is right.

I mix up the shakes as well. Raspberries, strawberries and blueberries are the three fruits that I have been enjoying in the vanilla shakes. Yesterday, I tossed some watermelon in the blender and served up a very tasty watermelon shake. The cafe latte shakes are a nice delicious alternative to Starbucks frapps.

My favorite meal bar is the peanut butter meal bar. The blueberry almond crisp meal bar is tasty as well but not as good as the peanut butter meal bar. I prefer the blueberry bar in the mornings for breakfast.

Each day, I am able to enjoy a snack bar as well. The chocolate and peanut butter bars are my favorite. You can see a trend here right? The lemon is my least favorite.

The biggest question I get is “Am I starving myself from the foods that I enjoy?” Absolutely not is my answer. I am allowed 1500 calories a day. The fitness pal app on my phone helps me tally calories each day. Lots of fresh fruits and vegetables are in my daily foods. Dinner at night is a well-balanced three course meal. After dinner every night, you can find me at the walking park doing an hour walk. I usually only miss one day a week from walking. Water is key as well. Thanks to my water app on my phone, I achieve drinking 96 ounces of water a day.

Cinch products, walking 3 miles and drinking my water each day has led me to my awesome results. The weight is not falling off fast but at a very healthy rate.

First Week Update – Couch to 5K

Getting healthy means so much to me. Yes, I have been eating healthy for a long time – but I am talking about getting my body healthy. Toning up and getting my BMI to a healthy level. I am well into week one of the #cinchspiration Shaklee Challenge. It is going great so far. I am loving the daily shakes and very much looking forward to weighing in this Friday to see hopefully positive results.

This has been my first week doing the Couch to 5K. I am running my second 5K with my wonderful friend Cindy in September with my church. I want to beat my time last year, so really taking this serious. The only thing? I am hurting, especially tonight. I am only running in minute intervals and it is hard. I get short of breath and cannot wait for the 60 seconds to be over. I am just keeping it real folks. I did my longest walk/run tonight – 4.2 miles. Came home with the back of my legs hurting so much. The pain will not get me down. Determination will take over. Hopefully, as the weeks get behind me, the pain will be starting to decrease. As I told my friend Cindy, I do not understand how people can run marathons. Maybe, I will realize it more once I get to the end of my training? As of right now, 5K’s are my only desire.

Tomorrow will be a walking day only. Each day, I want to continue to move in order to keep my muscles from getting too relaxed. My body muscles are shouting “What are you doing to me Jen? Usually, we just get to sit and be lazy.” Sorry muscles, you have sat for too long. We are going through a transformation together.

I can do this! I can do this! I can do this!

A new healthy weight loss journey – {Pictures}

Healthy living is what I strive for each and everyday with my family. As you know, I had a huge weight loss and have managed to keep most of it off. I have gained back about 12 – 15 pounds of original weight loss, so to reach my ultimate goal, I would like to lose 40 pounds totally.

I recently applied to the Shaklee Blog Challenge and much to my surprise was one of the 50 bloggers selected.

I am excited to start on this new healthy weight loss journey. It will consist of shakes, meal replacement bars and vitamins. Also, I will continue to eat fresh fruits and vegetables that I love so much. We recently went HFCS free in our household, so we will not have those foods in the house either. It is going to be a super fun journey and one I am absolutely thrilled to begin.

I will be combining my 5K training with my healthy eating journey as well. I want to be healthy but also very toned. My girls look up to me as their role model, and I want to be a healthy role model. I am headed to jaw surgery if all goes well within 9 months, and I really need to be at a good weight and be very healthy in order to have a good recovery. More to come about that soon here on the blog.

There will be bi-monthly updates with pictures so you all can see how well my progress is going. Let’s get started with my beginning photos. (Am I really going to post these? – YES!)

Hope you will show your support and cheer me along on this wonderful journey. I hope I can be an inspiration to many and let you all know… YOU can do this as well!

Let the journey begin….
