Whenever the rainbow appears in the clouds, I will see it and remember the everlasting covenant between God and all living creatures of every kind on the earth. – Genesis 9:16 NIV
I truly wish every day could be Easter and Christmas. The love, faith and family that contributes to these holidays are just beautiful connections for every one.
It warmed my heart to be able to go back to church since my surgery. The only downfall, I wanted to sing so bad during service. Praise songs just lift my spirits so much. Christian music just moves my soul and can bring me to happy tears quite frequently. I love praising our Lord so cannot wait until I can sing.
After church was joining family for Easter festivities. Of course, I had to be restricted with what I can and cannot do since the sun was shining in full force. It did not matter. Being surrounded by loving family, meeting new baby cousin and enjoying the laughter from the kids was all just simply amazing. My aunt had concocted me up some pureed food so I did not walk away hungry. I’m just ready to CHEW!
It has been nice to get back into routine and get outside the house. A week from today, I head to Chapel Hill to get my splint removed. The countdown is on for sure. The following day, I will return to work. I’m ready I believe. Hopefully, I will not get too tired. It will be so grand to get back into a normal routine.
Easter warms the heart. I hope your heart was warmed this past weekend. Remember, God is good!
My heart has really been convicted over the past few months. Obviously, with myself working outside of the home now, my time with the family has been shortened. I am still trying to figure out how to manage this whole work outside of the home gig, but I have been making great strides. My girls will always be my top priority of course alongside my handsome hubby. This past weekend, it dawned on me that we needed a weekly planner. With our busy schedules, each day leaves for lots of guessing at times. I found this weekly printable planner on Pinterest from DigiMamas.com.
Each day is marked with what time I will get off (since we are still working over-time at work), what is for dinner that day, the extracurricular activities for the girls and who is doing pick-up and drop-off. Also, one big thing that is written for every week day – NO Technology from 5:00pm – 8:00pm. This is going to be our first week really pushing the no technology all week but it needs to happen. We are going to allow technology for the family every week night from 8:00pm to 8:45pm. I am excited to see how this works for us. Be prepared to hear an update from me next week.
Then we will end each night at 8:45 with devotions and prayers. This month, we are working through a great devotion book called God’s promises for girls. We focus on two pages a night. Each promise listed on the page includes bible verses. The girls take turns reading the scripture from the bible and then pairing it with the promise in the book. God is already showing his provision with this book. One night last week, L was very worried about her tooth. We need to get it checked out by the dentist but she just was overcome by tears. Our devotion that night was God’s promises when you are worried. Divine intervention right? The wording is appropriate for M and L. The promises are great conversation starters as well. I definitely recommend this book to Moms of little girls!
Spending more time with my family and making that time mean something instead of our faces in front of technology really means so much to me. M and L are not getting any younger. I want to cherish every minute and also grow closer to my husband.
This also means more pictures in 2014 with ME in them. I know you can relate right? Moms are usually the ones behind the camera. Also, we can’t forget about spending time with our sweet Kingston. He is the sweetest and most cuddly dog.
Here’s to focusing on the family more in 2014!
I know many other believers want to grow their walk with Christ. Each and everyday, I pray that I can be closer to God. The bible is an amazing tool but can be challenging to understand. Bible study helps with understanding. That is why I have been so happy to learn about TWR360.org.
TWR360 breaks down barriers of language and accessibility so users can download, stream and read abundant Christian media resources. It is an amazing tool when we are all so busy with our families and their extracurricular activities. It is easy to download and stream while doing carpool.
An awesome feature that was just released is their mobile app. Click here to download the iPhone app and click here to download the Android app. Both of these apps are free. Such a great bonus for an in depth bible resource. Also, if you prefer video, the personalized YouTube page is available.
The site is in Beta right now and will officially launch in early 2014. Jump on board right now and create your account to begin experiencing the quality Christian programming. I know I feel so much better and feel more positive when I read His word and dig deeper into a bible study. It warms my soul. I know my believer friends will feel the same. Hope you will enjoy the programming as much as I am enjoying it. Have a great rest of the week!
Growing up, I remember sitting and listening to bible stories. My ears would always perk up and my eyes would fasten on the teacher. Noah’s Ark, Jonah and the Big Whale, Daniel and Lion’s Den, and Joseph and Coat of Many Colors are just a few stories that will always stay close to my heart.
Now that I am a mother, it warms my heart to see my girls get excited about the bible stories. Superbook TV are taking these bible stories to a closer look for families. The bible stories are coming to life in animation videos.
The new, reimagined Superbook has a team of award-winning animators, writers, and producers whose credits include Mulan, Beauty and the Beast, and The Lion King. These entertaining Bible stories use state-of-the-art media that the young generation expects, and enjoys watching again and again. This week, your family can watch these videos on ABC Family. Each weekday morning, tune in your television to ABC Family. The show will start at 9:30am ET.
Here is the line-up for this week:

This morning during Children’s Church, I gave the kids a sneak peek. As you can see, the kids were very intrigued and were enjoying the video. A few of the kids were telling me how they watch the videos with their family.
Make sure to check out Superbook.TV where you’ll find family-friendly Bible fun. There’s also a free devotional that you and your children will enjoy as they learn more about the life-changing power of God’s Word. We are helping lead our children’s paths with their walk with Jesus. It is always great to find great resources to help us lead their path. Enjoy!
